Dear Colleagues:

We look forward to welcoming you to 20th Annual meeting of Asia Pacific Implant Society(APIS, former PPIS). In 2002, the first meeting of PPIS was held in Seoul founded by Prof. Jun Woo Park(Korea) and Prof. Matsuura(Japan). Every year we are fortunate to have the clinical and scientific program presented by experts in implantology from the 5 regional members(China, India, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, alphabetical order) except 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.. In 2019, PPIS, the name of the society, was changed to APIS to broaden and concentrate the society to asian region.

The dental implantology in asian country is progressing fast and the digital computer assisted dentistry is being adapted into the routine implant procedures. Especially, the member regions of APIS are leading county in the field of computer-assisted digital implant area. Korea is also well known country in IT technology. The winter implant focus meeting of Korean Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is co-hosted with 20th APIS congress. The attendants of two congress can attend the two meetings together. It may be good opportunity to experience and exchange the clinical knowledge between two societies.

It is very sorry for that the members of APIS cannot get together and enjoy the congress in Seoul. But we hope the heritage of long scientific enthusiasm of APIS can be maintained without stopping even in the COVID-19.
